“4 more people have been found dead this morning in Tokyo bringing the death toll to 24 this week so far. Police are withholding any information but fingers are being pointed at ‘Kira’ for their deaths.”
A sly smile crept upon Light Yagami’s face as he listened to the evening news. “I suppose I have you to thank again”. Light looked down to his new found power: the Death Note.
Since acquiring the Death Note, Light took justice into his own hands by taking care of Tokyo’s criminals himself. Proud of his work, he congratulated himself as this week was the largest number of criminals he had ever killed, though in the back of his mind something was bothering him. He only killed 17 this week.

“Wake up...Kira.”
Light’s eyes slowly began to uncover an unfamiliar blurred environment as he awoke. Struggling to come round, he eventually found what he figured to be someone’s room though it was impossible for someone to want to live in it he thought. What was left of the torn and faded wallpaper barely concealed the walls of rotten wood and greenery seeping through the cracks. The ceiling immersed in mould and the carpet barely existent it soon became evident that no one had occupied this room for quite a while.
It seemed like minutes before he began to process what was going on. Realizing he was unable to move he looked down to find his arms and legs strapped to what seemed like an old barber’s chair firmly attached to the floor restricting him in his place. A small black ink pen was attached to his hand, for what purpose though he was yet to see. Cameras were placed in each corner of the ceiling, recording his every move. A crackling noise filled the room and a voice spoke once again.
“Welcome to my world Kira. Now that you’re finally here I’d like to play a game.”
Light’s chair slowly turned around and a dark wooden desk came into view. Laid out over the desk was a small blank page that looked to have been torn out of a book. A small monitor sitting on the corner of the desk turned on and a small doll-like face with a demonic look appeared on the screen. The doll continued to speak.
“I’m sure you’re familiar with this piece of paper; you write on them every day. You mercilessly kill those who oppose your dream of a utopian world. Rapists, robbers, fraudsters and even our own kind: murderers. Yes. You and I are both murderers Kira but we kill for the right reasons no? But there is one problem.” The voice, arrogant and demeaning, irritated Light. “When we reach the Promised Land there can only be one lead-“
“You mean God.”
“Oh?”
“In my world, I will be God. The people will thank me from saving them from the evil in our society. They will praise me and I will be loved. An amateur like you could never achieve that.” A sense of determination bled from the eyes of Light as he talked down the foolish doll.
“Well I sincerely apologise but it seems I have rewritten your fate. For today, you will be leaving us. In your right hand is a pen to enable you to write on the page in front of you. I obtained this from your Death Note the day we captured you. If you’d care to look above you’ll see a large tank containing (still figuring out...)

The most immense fear would have overwhelmed any normal human being. To have your time of death chosen; your own death to decide how it was going to end in 2 minutes. Jigsaw watched his subject from his monitoring room, awaiting the joy that would come at the hands of his own brilliant plan.

Okay now this is intense. In my opinion you've managed to bring these ideas together in a way that works well and the situation is very intense here as Light's the helpless one. I'd like to see what else is in store. The best thing about this is that anything could happen at this point. In a way your fan fiction is like your very own death note, the fate of either one of these two lay in your hands. Will Jigsaw die? Or Light? It's all down to what you write.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be interesting on how this 'conflict of interest' is going to end -keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments guys. Im trying to work on the ending and how its gonna go about. Could be a success or epic fail.
ReplyDeleteI would be very surprised if it would be an epic fall. If you intend to make this a standalone story, you might have to consider bringing the Death Note description back in as backstory. I find it pretty cool and that is from someone really not into any sort of horror.
ReplyDeleteYeah dont worry Im bringing the Death Note into thestory and will post the rules as a brief before. All in the final product :)
